NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- State employees have been using their work computers to update an online encyclopedia on topics ranging from The Three Stooges to Flash Gordon, a TV station reports.

An investigation by Nashville's WSMV-TV found 677 entries at Wikipedia could be traced to state office Internet addresses.

Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia that allows anyone to add information but tracks the computer used to do so.

State employees must sign a four-page policy that says they are to use the Internet at work only for job-related duties.
