JELLICO, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Welcome Center on Interstate 75 will close Friday and relocate to a temporary site.

Starting Saturday, the welcome center will shift to the old Jellico Motel Restaurant building at exit 160 which will remain open for the next 12 to 14 months.

After three years of planning, the current welcome center will be demolished, and a new facility and picnic area will take its place.

The new center will be about twice the size with more restrooms and additional parking.
