UPDATE: Sevierville doctor facing multiple rape, sexual battery charges
A Sevierville doctor was arrested Wednesday for allegedly raping and sexually battering multiple victims at his office, according to a release from District Attorney General James B. Dunn.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Sevierville doctor was arrested Wednesday for allegedly raping and sexually battering multiple victims at his office, according to a release from District Attorney General James B. Dunn.
Dr. Rodney Carter, 50, 857 Amy Lea Drive, allegedly raped and sexually battered three different victims, according the Dunn's release.
One of the victims is a minor, according to City of Sevierville spokesman Bob Stahlke.
"The alleged victims are three male patients, and the incidents reportedly occurred in 2007 and 2008," Stahlke said in a release.
Dunn's release states that Dr. Carter is being held on a $200,000 bond.
Carter is set to be arraigned in Sevier County Circuit Court on March 30.
A rape conviction carries an eight to 12 year sentence, and a sexual batter conviction carries a one to two year sentence.

I can not believe this about Dr. Carter. I was so happy to find a Dr. that cared about the outcome of what was going on in my health and life. What a sad day for him and his family. I hope this proves to be wrong.
I think everyone should remember that he has not been found guilty yet. I know that people are often unjustly accused. He may be completely innocent.
I do not presonally think he has done anything. I think people are jumping to conclusions. And I do not think addresses should be mentioned in articles.
