SEVIERVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the Sevier County Sheriff.
The TBI received a request from District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn to investigate allegations that Sheriff Ron "Hoss" Seals possibly interfered with a DUI arrest made by a deputy within his apartment, according to TBI spokesperson Kristin Helm.
The request was made June 11th.
Sources tell VolunteerTV.com the incident took place within the last "couple of months," but neither the TBI, nor our source would get more specific.
We contacted Dunn for comments. Assistant District Attorney General Brownlow Marsh returned our call but would not comment on the investigation.
Seals has been sheriff in Sevier County since March of 2007.
Sheriff Seals was out of the office this afternoon, but he has not returned our calls seeking comment.

TBI needs to investigate all of sevier county from the court house to the schools, all has been corrupt. You know they are taking students in a room and letting a police officer interrogation them when these students have done no wrong and never calling the parents!! When you call them on it they said "we call this loco pprentice, we sit in FOR the parent". THEY ARE MINORS. They tell you to mind your own business we run this town. Please someone investigate these things they are making good kids into bad, and no one is doing anything about it. Its like this whole town is scared to death to speak out. Everybody is related from the court house to the schools to the police station! WOW do something please.
I just wonder since General Dunn recently rode to Nashville with Sheriff Hossie, if the General will ask for a Special Prosecutor???
Hossie, Hossie, Hossie. Me thinks that you better hire you a good attorney. Oh, yeah, Herb Moncier is NOT AVAILABLE.
