SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – Sevierville Police need the public’s help finding whoever robbed a drug store back in March.

It happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17th, 2009. At the time, Volunteer TV News reported that a man armed with a handgun walked into Ream’s Drug Store on Middle Creek Road and demanded OxyContin from the pharmacy. He was able to get away with an undisclosed number of pills.

Detectives have been unable to identify the man since the robbery, but believe the public may be able to provide useful tips.

“More than likely, there is a person who knows the identity of this suspect,” said Det. Kevin Bush with the Sevierville Police Department. “We are hopeful that they will contact us.”

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about 6’ tall and weighing 170-180 lbs. He had close cut brown and blonde hair, and was wearing a white t-shirt with black letters, blue jeans and a white baseball style hat with a blue brim.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect should call either the
Sevierville Police Department at (865) 453-5506 or Det. Bush at (865) 453-5507.
