Double Murder Suspects Appear In Court Save Email Print

Knoxville (WVLT) Two of the suspects in the murder of a Knoxville couple appeared in before a Knox County judge Thursday.

George Thomas was in court for an arraignment.

He will next appear in court May 17th for a hearing along with Lemaricus Davidson and Letalvis Cobbins.

All three face a 40 plus count indictment, including charges of first degree murder, kidnapping, and rape.

All in connection with the deaths of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.

18 year old Vanessa Coleman also appeared in a Knoxville court Thursday.

She faces dozens of charges in the murders of Christian and Newsom.

Coleman's lawyer, who is from Kentucky, was not in the courtroom.

She is expected back in court for arraignment on March 23rd.

The Newsom family sat in the courtroom during the proceedings.
