KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Judge Richard Baumgartner and attorneys from both the defense and prosecution are in Nasvhille to begin the process of selecting an out-of-town jury to hear the murder case against Vanessa Coleman, the fourth suspect to be tried in the carjacking, rape, kidnapping and murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom in January 2007.
Coleman is also the only woman facing charges in the case.
So far, Letalvis Cobbins, Lemaricus Davidson and George Thomas have all been convicted of their roles in the Chipman Street killings, and are currently in prison. Davidson was sentenced to death after being convicted of all charges against him.
Eric Boyd is also serving a prison sentence for helping Davidson hide from police after the killings. Both the Christian and Newsom families say they believe Boyd had more of a role in the crimes than the charges against him have suggested, and they anticipate that he could be charged with the actual killings at a later date.
