KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- What do Tee Martin, Chris Leak, Eric Crouch, Clint Stoerner and James Wilhoit have in common?

First, they're all former college football stars. Second, they're all planning on playing (or, in Martin's case, considering playing) in the All American Football League (AAFL), a new league which caters to college graduates who want to continue their football careers.

More than 600 players are participating in an AAFL combine Thursday and Friday, vying for a spot on one of the six teams, which will be located in Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan and Texas.

The Tennessee team will play its five home games at Neyland Stadium and will be coached by former Vol quarterback Andy Kelly, who led the Vols to the 1990 SEC Championship and a successful berth in the 1991 Sugar Bowl.

Several big names are taking part in the league's development. Former UT Athletic Director Doug Dickey is overseeing the Tennessee team, and former NCAA President Cedric Dempsey formed the league.

Among the league spokesmen are Crouch, Martin, and former Florida great Danny Wuerrfel.

Season tickets are on sale for some teams. For more information, fans can visit AAFL.com.

This league is something special, the only league that has a chance to succeed. This is a fortunate opportunity for many talented athletes who were not giving a proper chance or whatever the case maybe. The All American Football League is a professionally qaulity league. The following coaches who have been choosen are all legit coaches, motivators there stories are top notch. The guys in the front office are making great decisions on personell and staff members. Talent will not take a back slide niether, high quality athlete with impressive resumes. Look forward to this league not only surviving but going places only other leagues can only dream about. In five years there maybe twenty teams in the AAFL. Coming spring 2008 and I cant wait!
