Casey Kelly officially a member of the Boston Red Sox
UT football signee Casey Kelly has chosen pro baseball over college football, signing with the Boston Red Sox

Knoxville (WVLT-TV) The Boston Red Sox organization has officially announced the signing of Casey Kelly, the standout quarterback out of Sarasota, Florida who was part of UT's 2008 signing class.
However, instead of joining the Vols for preseason camp next month, Kelly will report to the Rookie League Gulf Coast Red Sox.
Kelly was shortstop and pitcher in high school, hitting .473 with five homers and 31 RBI's his senior season.
Casey Kelly was selected 30th overall by the Bosox in last months first year player draft.
