(WVLT) -- Tennessee offensive lineman Darius Myers is no longer with the team, according to a report from GoVolsXtra.com, WVLT's media partner. Academics were the primary cause of Myers' dismissal, according to the report.

Myers was suspended for two games during the season due to academics.

Volquest.com is reporting that lineman Ramone Johnson is also off the team, also due to academics.

The GoVolsXtra report also says that UT defensive back Brent Vinson is still with the team, but must work through academic issues to remain on the squad.
