MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WVLT) -- Tennessee defensive back commitment D.J. Hunter has been charged with felonious assault after he allegedly shot a 15-year-old boy in the face with a BB gun, according to the Hamilton Journal-News.

GoVolsXtra.com reported Friday that Tennessee is no longer recruiting Hunter after the arrest, which is his second since July.

The alleged incident occurred Monday in Hunter's hometown of Middletown, Ohio. Hunter was arrested at school the next day and is now free after posting bond Wednesday.

Hunter committed to UT last July but has continued to look at other schools. Rivals.com classifies Hunter as a four-star defensive back.

According to the recruiting website, he has received scholarship offers from numerous schools, including West Virginia, Ohio State, Kentucky, Indiana, and several others.
