Murfreesboro (WVLT-TV Sports Overtime) -- Playing in its first state tournament in 15 years, Maryville High School just wasn't ready to head back to Blount County.

The Rebels (28-8) knocked off Bradley Central 73-68 in overtime Thursday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the TSSAA boys state basketball tournament.

Maryville had a 7 point lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Bears outscored the Rebels 17-10 in the fourth quarter to tie things up. As a matter of fact, Bradley Central was in position to win the game in regulation. Down by 4 with 31 seconds to play, Maryville's Jordan Damron connected on a three pointer to pull Maryville within one at 62-61. Aaron Douglas would add a free throw with :06 seconds to play to knot the game at 62.

In the extra session, the Rebels hit 4 of 6 field goals, while the Bears struggled, connecting on just 2 of 14 shots.

Four Rebel players reached double figures, led by Kent Basile's 21 points. Bradley Central's Terrance Oglesby led all scorers with 22.

Maryville now heads to the semifinals. The Rebels play Friday at 8 p.m. EST against the Craigmont/Whites Creek winner.
