Coalfield girls eliminated from state tournament

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Coalfield girls basketball team lost 56-30 to Jackson County Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the TSSAA Class A girls state basketball tournament.

The Yellow Jackets end the season with a 23-6 record. Whitney Walls led Coalfield with 10 points.

Also in Class A action, Middleton beat North Greene 48-46, CSAS downed Scotts Hill 58-39, and Moore County topped Wayne County 51-42.
