Shirley Nash-Pitts is WVLT VOLUNTEER TV News' consumer expert.
She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a double major in business administration and accounting.
Shirley has over 20 years of public affairs experience. From 1987 to 1996, she was the East Tennessee Director for the Consumer Affairs Division, State of Tennessee. She is a charter member of the National Coalition for Consumer Education and a member of several advocacy organizations.
She is Chairman of the Board for the City of Knoxville Public Facilities, and she is a graduate of the Citizens Police Academy. Shirley serves on the Business Advisory Board, the Knoxville Police Department Community Policing Board and the O'Connor Senior Center Board.
