I grew up in small Central Ohio town, called Marysville. Even though I’m originally from the Buckeye State, I feel right at home here in East Tennessee! It’s such a blessing to live in an area where people come from all over the country to vacation!
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, where I was also named Outstanding Graduating Senior in Broadcast News.
I got my start in broadcasting at WOUB Radio & TV News in Athens, OH. I worked for three years as a reporter, anchor, producer, and weather forecaster (usually not all in the same day). The highlight of my time with the station was when I covered the capture of one of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives in Southeast Ohio.
Besides local news coverage, I also have experience at the network level from my internship with NBC’s Today in New York.
When I’m not working for you, I love watching movies and TV (of course). I’m also somewhat of an amateur magician and always enjoy tinkering with new tricks.
