Megan Campbell is WVLT Volunteer TV's Senior Meteorologist.

From starting a neighborhood tornado watch club at age six, to presently carrying my storm spotter card at all times, I love to forecast and I'm constantly fascinated by weather. Like most weather people, I believe it is in my blood.

My early years were spent in a small town outside Indianapolis, but half way through school my family relocated to Knoxville. It was such an experience going from flatlands full of soybean and corn fields to the landscapes of Tennessee where land rises and comes alive. I'm proud to be a Bearden High School graduate... Go Bulldogs! I continued to enjoy all things East Tennessee attending UT then completed my Bachelor of Science degree in geography and broadcasting down the road at ETSU in 2003.

Working on my graduate degree in Mississippi, I quickly meshed with other atmospheric junkies. There I became an active member of the local National Weather Service chapter, American Meteorological Society and competed in the national forecasting competitions. In 2005, I received my Masters degree in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Before leaving the Gulf Coast, I was lucky enough to bump into my husband Clint. He's a University of Texas graduate.

After college, Clint was transferred to Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., where I started my television career.

One of the craziest storm moments that I can remember was reporting on a severe flash flood event in Delmarva when the bridge under me cracked in half.

Later I went on to Central Virginia where I hosted Daybreak at WHSV as a morning meteorologist. There I could give the morning skicast, then be on the slopes an hour later.

I love running, skiing, of course storm chasing and playing with my 95lb chocolate lab named Buster.
