LA VERGNE, Tenn. (AP) -- The driver's license exam station in La Vergne is closed today after an inexperienced driver rammed it.

Police say the driver hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal yesterday afternoon, causing the car to jump a curb, strike the brick building and shove a section of the exterior wall in about a foot.

The Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro tried to get the name of the driver, but La Vergne police officials didn't return phone calls yesterday.

The supervisor of the center did say that driver wasn't issued a license.

Officials hope to reopen the center Monday.

Just because someone did something so strange and foolish. Dont mean they should not get a Drivers License. Accidents do happen.
