District of Columbia Seeks New Slogan
Virginia has "Virginia Is For Lovers." New York has its "I Love New York" campaign and in Las Vegas, "What Happens Here, Stays Here." Now, tourism officials in Washington DC want the nation's capital to get a new catchphrase.

Washington (AP) -- Virginia has "Virginia Is For Lovers." New York has its "I Love New York" campaign and in Las Vegas, "What Happens Here, Stays Here." Now, tourism officials in Washington DC want the nation's capital to get a new catchphrase.
Do you know the current phrases? They are "Celebrate And Discover" and "Washington DC: The American Experience."
The Washington Convention and Tourism Corporation is using focus groups, online surveys and interviews with city officials to help develop a new slogan.
An online survey at shareyourdc.com runs through April and the new slogan is expected to launch in the fall.
