(WVLT) -- Out of default, UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel has found his starting quarterback.
According to Los Angeles media reports, UCLA quarterback Patrick Cowhan has a torn ACL; so when the Vols face UCLA in the September 1st opener, it'll be Ben Olson taking the snaps under center for the Bruins.
Cowan and Olson have had a relatively tight battle for UCLA's starting quarterback position.
Cowan injured the knee last Thursday during spring drills. During the same practice, Olson also suffered an injury--to his foot--which will require surgery and keeping him sidelined six to eight weeks.
