In my opinion, AD Mike Hamilton aired his decision (or personal vendetta) much too soon in the year. Since this was his savored thought, couldn't he had waited until the season was over? Wonder how Coach Fulmer felt playing with that monkey on his back. I now view UTs AD's deter-mination to overlay all Coach Fulmer's long & illustrious career with an extremely tacky dirty cloke, tasteless in its early announcement & counter-productive to Coach Fulmer's main job on the field...& that is playing Vol football to the best of his & his team's ability. Coach Fulmer only showed his sterling character in gritting his teeth & just plowing ahead. He is a genuine gentleman, sportsman & mentor to all who have played under his patient & caring tutelage. There is no way this man should have been ousted out in mid-season like yesterday's fish. He is a man of True Grit & one who will prosper no matter where he goes or what he does. I, for one, applaud his stamina & grace under fire.

This is truly a sad day in TN. I really hate to see Fulmer go out this way. I always haven't agreed to some of the play-calling ,however there is no denying that he has done so much for UT football!
