Knoxville, (WVLT-TV/GoVolsxtra.com), The University of Tennessee says that starting July 1st, it will implement it's previous drug testing policy regarding student athletes.
Under that old policy, athletes faced an indefinite suspension following a third positive drug test.
An initial positive test usually led to counseling and random testing. A second strike would lead to a suspension of some sort as well as further education on the subject.
The University's athletic department has seen it's image take a hit under the current rules. To read more about this impending change in department policy, click on the link at the bottom of the page.
